The Last Night of the Proms at Peterborough Cathedral and a visit for National Apprenticeship Week are in the mayoral diary this week.
Tuesday 7 March
The Mayor will visit City College Peterborough to mark National Apprenticeship Week. The week is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and traineeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy. The Mayor will meet apprentices at the college from 11am to 1pm.
Tuesday 7 March
The Deputy Mayor will attend a citizenship ceremony in Peterborough Town Hall council chamber to welcome new arrivals to Peterborough from 2pm to 3.30pm.
Friday 10 March
The Deputy Mayor and Mayoress will attend the Mayor of Grantham's Civic Ball. It takes place at Grantham Guildhall from 7pm.
Saturday 11 March
The Mayor of Peterborough's Last Night of the Proms event takes place at Peterborough Cathedral. Proceeds from the evening's entertainment will go towards the Mayor's chosen charities. The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £15 (under 16s cost £10). Tickets are available from Peterborough Visitor Information Centre on 01733 452336 or can be bought on the night.
Wednesday 15 March
The Mayor will attend 'An Evening with David Lowndes' at the Peterborough Salvation Army in New England at 7.30pm. In his 44 years as a photographer for the Peterborough Telegraph, David has covered everything from royal visits to major incidents. Tickets costing £10 will be available on the night or in advance from the Visitor Information Centre on Bridge Street, by emailing email@example.com or by calling Helen on 07506 388718.
Thursday 16 March
The Mayor will officially open the new B&M store in Bridge Street, Peterborough, at 8.30am.
