The Mayor’s Charities Golf Day is fast approaching

Golf enthusiasts are being asked to tee-off for a good cause in a bid to raise money for three local charities.

The Mayor’s Charities Golf Day will take place at Elton Furze Golf Club on Friday 22 September with the first tee at 9.30am. 

Teams should comprise four golfers with an entry fee of £50 per person which includes 18 rounds and a luxury buffet at the end.

The Mayor’s charities this year are Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust, Peterborough Sea Cadets and Peterborough Shopmobility, all organisations providing valuable support locally.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three winning teams - kindly donated by Stanground Carpets and Flooring. There will be hole prizes too. 

The format is Stapleford Rules, three quarter handicap and an 18 shot maximum. Breakfast bacon and sausage baps will be available to buy from 8.30am, with pork and apple baps for lunch.

Golf buggies are available on a first come, first served basis when entering.
