World Spina Bifida Day and Diwali in the Mayor's Diary this coming week

World Spina Bifida Day and the Diwali Festival of Lights are dates in the Mayoral diary for this coming week.

Thursday 25 October - The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend World Spina Bifida Day at the Mayors Parlour between 2pm and 4pm.

Friday 26 October - The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend the Official Cambridgeshire Poppy Appeal Launch at Peterborough Town Hall between 10.30am and 12.30am. The Mayor will make a speech at the event.

Friday 26 October - The Mayor and Mayoress will say a few words at a gala dinner for a city mentoring scheme - ROGA - at the Radius/Solstice club between 6pm and 10pm.

Friday 26 October - The Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend an inaugural charity ball for Shine, the city based spina bifida and hydrocephalus charity. The event will take place at the Park Inn between 7pm and midnight.

Saturday 27 October - The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend the Poppy Appeal launch outside Peterborough Town Hall between 9am and 9.45am.

Saturday 27 October - The Mayor will pop into the Restart a Heart (St John Ambulance) event in Peterborough Town Hall’s Reception Room from 10am. This event is free and is open to all members of the public. It does not require booking and will teach attendees essential first aid skills. 

Saturday 27 October - The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will say a few words at the Diwali festival opening at Peterborough Cathedral between 10.45am and 12pm.

Saturday 27 October - The Mayor will present prizes at the Railworld Wildlife Haven Freaky Family Fun Day at Railworld between 1.30pm and 3.15pm.

Saturday 27 October - The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will be raising money for the Mayor’s charities at the Hampton Halloween Party at the Hampton Leisure Centre between 7pm and 9pm.

Sunday 28 October - The Mayor and Mayoress will attend a performance of Die Fiedermaus at the Key Theatre between 3.45pm and 6.30pm.

Monday 29 October - The Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress will attend the judging of the children’s wreaths at the Mayors Parlour between 2.15pm and 3pm.
