Crowds are set to flock to Peterborough City Market over the next fortnight for two fun-filled events.
On Good Friday (April 19) the first of a new regular vintage and second hand auction event gets under way from 9am, with sales starting at 12pm.
The events will be held every Friday in association with Batemans Auctioneers of Stamford and offer a great opportunity to buy and sell a wide range of items.
People are invited to bring along any items for sale, such as china, glassware, bric a brac, jewellery, clocks, coins, collectables and small furniture.
All transactions will be made in cash, with sold items paid out on the day, unsold items must be collected then.
Commission on sold items is 10 per cent (which includes VAT). There is a £1 lotting fee and a £1 minimum commission per lot.
On Saturday, April 27 families are invited to the market to enjoy good food, music and a variety of activities at a special Spring Fayre.
As well as the regular traders, lots of additional stalls will be joining us for the event, from 10am.
Fantastic food will be on offer from current favourites such as The Italian Twist, Embe, Victoria’s Kitchen, and City Diner.
Entertainment will also be provided throughout the day with music and children's activities.
Markets and commercial trading officer Steve Woolley said: “We have been delighted by both the number of traders who are supporting us, and the interest on social media.
“We'd invite as many people as possible to come along a see what the market has to offer. The fayre promises to be a fun-filled occasion which all the family can enjoy."
