Love your City? Come and celebrate with KingsGate

I Love My City is the theme of new KingsGate Community Church events that will culminate in a Party in the Park for local people on Saturday 10 and 17 June.

The events will see KingsGate volunteers partnering with Peterborough City Council to improve parks and playgrounds across the city with activities such as litter picking, weeding, mending fences and painting projects.

The 'parties in the parks' will be the climax of both days' work and the opportunity for local people to celebrate with KingsGate from 3 to 4.30pm with fun for all the family including games, face painting and refreshments.

The KingsGate team looks forward to meeting new members of the community at the parties on:

  • Saturday 10 June - Party in the Park 3pm to 4.30pm - Itter Park, Parnwell Park.
  • Saturday 17 June - Party in the Park 3pm to 4.30pm - Central Park, Woodfield Park and Victoria Gardens.

Juliet Welch, KingsGate Community Action Projects Manager, said: "We're really looking forward to serving our city through these events.

"We already run the city's Care Zone which helps people in need and we hope local families will come and enjoy the parties with us to help build even stronger relationships with the local community."
