The collection of household garden waste is an optional, paid-for, year-round service. Brown bins are only collected from households that have signed-up to this service.
2019/20 Brown bin garden waste collection service
You can sign up for the 2019/2020 service using the garden waste service form.
The standard annual charge for the brown bin collection service is £45.
The service will run from week commencing 20 May 2019 to week commencing 11 May 2020.
Please note: if you do not already have a garden waste bin at your property you will need to call 01733 747474 to arrange to have one delivered.
You can subscribe to the service until 28 February 2020, but will be charged the same standard price and your service will end on the same date (i.e. end in the week commencing 11 May 2020). No concession rates are available.
There is a one-off charge of £20 for an additional second brown bin, you can't pay for a second brown bin via direct debit.
Payments take 3 working days to process (excluding the day you sign up); therefore, if you subscribe in the days immediately prior to your next scheduled collection date your bin may not be emptied because your address has not been updated on the collection record system.
To sign-up to pay by direct debit you must subscribe by midnight on 28 June 2019 (this requires an email address). These payments will be taken on or around the first weeks of July, August and September. After 28 June 2019, the direct debit payment option will no longer be available so please use another means of payment.
Collections are fortnightly on the same day as your green bin collection (collections will be monthly in December and January).
