Each year, Peterborough City Council installs Christmas lights, a real Christmas tree and puts on a spectacular Christmas lights switch-on event that attracts thousands of visitors from all over the area. The lights switch-on is one of the major highlights of the city’s events calendar.
Throughout the end of November and the whole of December, visitors come into the city centre to see the lights, visit Santa and attend Christmas parties, and undertake Christmas shopping. Sponsoring Peterborough’s Christmas event is a great way to increase brand awareness among your local community, businesses and visitors. It is an opportunity for you to give back to the community and gain prime visibility for your business.

Bronze £1,000
For £1,000 your brand will be included in all media releases with a special thank you for sponsoring the lights.
Silver £2,000
In addition to the Bronze package, your brand will also feature on our individual social media posts.
Gold £5,000
In addition to the Bronze and Silver packages, you will also receive a thank you at the Christmas light switch-on along with your brand being advertised on the big screen during the evening. Also, space along Bridge Street to have a stall to promote your business.

£2,000 - Christmas tree boards
By sponsoring the 2024 Christmas tree, this is a chance to have your branding on one of 10 boards around the tree's skirt, which will be in place for six weeks from November until 6 January 2025.
Peterborough’s Christmas tree always proves to be the prime location for families to take photos when they visit the city centre over the festive season. Often these photographs and videos are posted on their Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X profiles which are shared with friends and family.
£7,000 - Christmas lights switch-on event
As the main sponsor of the Christmas lights switch-on event, you will have your branding on the banners at the side of the stage. You will also be promoted heavily across all our social media channels in the four-week run-up to the event.
A spokesperson from your organisation will be invited onto the stage for a short interview before the switch-on.
