Resolved: At the end of the petition period

About the strategy

This document is a revision of the previous Peterborough Flood Risk Management Strategy (2015-2020). We have created the document as the Lead Local Flood Authority in consultation with our partner organisations. It outlines how we will manage flood risk across Peterborough between 2021 and 2027.

The strategy sets out:

  • Background
  • Local and national context
  • Roles and responsibilities
  • An overview of risk
  • Funding opportunities
  • Management activities and actions prioritised to manage identified risks

The revised strategy has built in learning from recent flood events and industry developments since 2015. It looks to provide an overview of the wide range of flood related information, signposting areas you may wish to understand in more depth rather than duplicating other sources.

To report specific flood issues, please visit our flooding advice page.

After the consultation

We ran a consultation survey until 8 January 2023.

We will review feedback and make any necessary updates to the strategy. We will take it to the Scrutiny Committee and Cabinet prior to adoption.
