We are working with other organisations to support many people whose lives have become more difficult because of COVID-19.
We offer support in two ways:
- Direct food voucher scheme
- Additional support for vulnerable families and individuals
Direct food voucher scheme
Our scheme for Christmas and February half term has closed. Following an extension of the government funding for the Winter Grant Scheme, we will issue all families with food vouchers for the two weeks of the Easter holidays. Supermarket vouchers of £15 per child per week for the two weeks of the Easter holidays are being issued to those families meeting the low income criteria for the following support:
- Free school meals
- Funded childcare for 2 year olds
- Early years pupil premium
- 16-19 bursary fund
Eligible parents will receive a text or email on 26 March 2021 to choose a supermarket for the voucher.
- Text message from ‘SchoolMeals’
- Email from ‘email@example.com’ – please check your junk folder
If you have a question about your voucher, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include the name of your child(ren) and the early years setting or school they attend. We cannot locate vouchers without this information. We will contact you within three working days.
Please check with your school / educational setting to see if your child is already eligible for free school meals. Visit our free school meals page for information about how to register.
