Petition request
"We the undersigned highly value the café at Vivacity Premier Fitness. It provides the opportunity to socialise with other members and meet family and friends in a pleasant setting, run by friendly and helpful staff. Physical fitness is known to enhance health. However, an active social network is also of great benefit to mental and social wellbeing, Premier Fitness members highly value, and even depend on, the social aspects provided by the café. We are, therefore, strongly opposed to the proposed closure because of the detrimental effect it could have on gym members."

Service response
"I understand the concerns and point raised regarding the closures of the cafe. In the original consultation we stated cafes located in the Lido, Flag Fen, Vivacity Premier Fitness, and the Museum and Art Gallery are making losses.
Whilst this is correct, we have listened to feedback which suggests that if these facilities close outright, there would be other impacts and consequences.
A decision has been taken that we will work with the operator of these facilities to seek a way for them to break-even enabling the cafe offer at various sites including Vivacity Premier Fitness to remain open."
