A week of intensive drop-in sessions for the Hackney and Private Hire Trade will be held next week (6-10 October).
The sessions will be delivered by Peterborough City Council’s licensing team at Sand Martin House in Fletton Quays, following recent meetings with Hackney and private hire drivers.
Councillor Christian Hogg, cabinet member for housing and regulatory services, said: “Drivers are often concerned about the specifics of their applications.
“To ensure fairness, we will designate each day of the week to a specific issue. This approach will allow applicants to be seen equally in a smooth process.”
Drivers will be turned away if they attend on the wrong day to ensure the sessions can remain on topic and to ensure fairness to other participants.
Licensing officers will be on-site for each of the five days.
There will be further support for sign-ins, badge, and plate collections to prevent queuing or unsuccessful visits.
