Resolved: At the end of the petition period

We invite residents, businesses and organisations to share their views on our draft Housing Strategy for 2024-2029.

The strategy sets out our priorities and actions to meet the current and future housing needs and challenges in Peterborough.

The following set of four priorities have been identified for the draft strategy which are underpinned by the themes of health and wellbeing and protecting our environment as key drivers for delivering our housing agenda:

  • Delivering sustainable growth and regeneration in Peterborough through high quality place making that enhances health and wellbeing and supports our ambitions for Peterborough to become a net zero carbon city

  • Increasing the supply of homes that people can afford and tackling homelessness through prevention with a greater emphasis on early help

  • Raising housing quality and standards in existing homes across all tenures to achieve improved health and wellbeing for residents

  • Meeting the need for accessible and adapted housing, supported accommodation, and housing for specific groups to promote health and wellbeing

Each priority has a delivery plan for the actions we will implement to achieve delivery of the strategy.
