Brownfield site register

What is the brownfield register

Peterborough City Council, in 2016, took part in a national ‘brownfield register’ pilot scheme which aimed to provide prospective developers with an up-to-date list of brownfield sites that are available for housing development across the district.

In March 2017, informed by the pilot schemes, Government issued new regulations making it compulsory for all local planning authorities, such as Peterborough City Council, to prepare a Brownfield Register by 31 December 2017. The council is working on such a Register, and will publish it in due course.
