CRF Community Partners, supported by the Crisis Resilience Fund, assist local communities with food parcels, advice, wellbeing activities, and practical help. They guide individuals to resources, connect them with specialist services, and coordinate programs that build health and resilience. Working with other organisations, they strive to improve quality of life for those facing hardship.

Support with Crisis Payment Scheme

The following CRF Community Partners offer in‑person support with Crisis Payment Scheme applications. From 1 June 2026 - Staff and volunteers can help you understand the Crisis Payment Scheme and support you to complete an application if needed. 

They may also be able to help in other ways, such as providing advice, signposting to services, or offering practical support. Select a CRF Community Partner below to find out what support they offer and how to access their services.

  • Barnardos - Support service for families providing weekly community cafes, food bags, vouchers, clothing, advice, Crisis Fund applications and referrals.
  • Compas - Multilingual support for individuals to access food vouchers, essential household items, practical advice and guidance including immigration signposting, support with finances, Crisis Fund applications and referrals.
  • Family Action - Organisation offering emergency food parcels, weekly food pantry, digital hub and one-to-one sessions for Crisis Fund applications, advice and support.
  • Gladca - Targeted support service providing food vouchers and one-to-one support around Crisis Fund applications and benefit applications, CVs and employment support for those with complex needs, including NRPF and Refugees.
  • Gladstone Connect - Service providing community activities, groups and senior lunches, alongside advice on benefits, forms, employment, Crisis Fund applications and access to emergency food and welfare support.
  • Little Miracles - Specialist support for families with disabled children, including help with benefits such as DLA and PIP. Also offers crisis and material support including food pantry access, emergency food parcels, essential items as well as housing advice, financial support, debt advice, and holiday food provision during school holidays.
  • Mary’s Child - Specialist support for children with SEND, domestic abuse support and food parcels (in house and delivered). Offers help with DLA and PIP applications, Crisis Fund applications, benefit appeals, and representation.
  • One Church City Centre Hub (St John’s, Park Road, St Mark’s) - Seven‑day‑a‑week support across three churches, including community cafés, exercise classes, food parcels and food and energy vouchers alongside practical advice, Crisis Fund applications and guidance across a variety of sectors.
  • Wellspring Church - Runs a community café 5 days a week, provides food and essentials when needed, as well as Crisis Fund applications and access to local schools, care organisations, domestic abuse charities, and the prison service.
  • WestRaven Cross Keys Homes Community Café - A community café open five days a week, with a free fridge, community pantry, and free food bags. Staff and volunteers provide one‑to‑one support, including guidance, help with forms, Crisis Fund applications and support gathering evidence for applications.

  • Age UK - Telephone based service providing information and advice for older people.
  • Care Zone - Emergency support referrals available from CRF Community Partners.
  • Disability Peterborough - Telephone based service to support people with physical disabilities and their families across the city with welfare benefits.
  • Faizan E Madina - Weekly food parcel distribution and community support.
  • Good Neighbours - Rural Peterborough - One to one practical and remote support for vulnerable adults in rural parishes including digital hubs, signposting to food banks and CRF Community Partners for rural parish residents.
  • ICare - Walk-in service to collect food parcels, supermarket vouchers, cooked meals (subject to availability) and support services as well as emergency support including deliveries.
  • Inclusion and Diversity East Anglia - Community outreach and wellbeing support for vulnerable and marginalised communities including essentials (not food) delivery only.
  • Kingsgate - Two food pantries for families attending Lime Academy Schools, these aim to help families facing food insecurity and who are struggling to feed their children and pay bills each month.
  • Light Project - Food and drink, information and advice, as well as access to a wide range of support services Monday to Sunday for those facing homelessness.
  • Open Door Community Café / Food Hub - Two food pantries and community café open weekly for those in needs including one-to-one advice on benefits and access to support.
  • PARCA - Emergency food and essentials delivered at least once a week to individuals and families in need as well as signposting to warm hubs for further support.
  • RCCG Dominion - Full English breakfast served every Saturday and food bank services on an appointment basis.

The Crisis Resilience Fund (CRF) is a grant provided to local authorities across England to help support low-income households. The fund runs from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029.

The aims of the fund are to:

  1. Provide effective crisis support
  2. Improve individuals’ financial resilience
  3. Bolster the local-level support landscape

At Peterborough City Council, we have committed to using this fund to support households and individuals who are facing financial hardship. It will also help to build financial resilience amongst households and individuals.

  • Support offers may change subject to demand and feedback.
  • We will update our listings on the Peterborough Information Network site when the hubs tell us of changes to their offer.
  • CRF Community Partners will collect personal information about you and this will be used to process your application for financial support. You will be advised of the terms and conditions of your application. The council and CRF Community Partners are under a duty to protect the public funds we administer and to this end may lawfully use and disclose information to each other for the purpose of (a) Preventing or detecting fraud and any other crime and/or (b) Protecting public funds in investigating misuse of public money.
