Services and support available at the Care Leavers Hub

Drop-ins at the Hub

We run drop-in hours throughout the week where you can come in, ask questions and get support from:

• Education and Employment Advisors (Virtual School)
• Care Leaver Local Offer Lead
• Housing Support Personal Advisor (PA)

Drop-in times change, so please contact the Leaving Care Team for the current timetable (see contact details above).

Facilities and free items at the Hub

• Nursery (reception): Care Leavers who are parents can collect items from reception at the Care Leavers Hub. Find more details on our Care Leavers who are parents page.
  
  
• Walk-in wardrobe (free): vintage/re-loved clothing, including interview clothing, event attire and everyday items. You can take items away free of charge. Please sign them out so we can keep the stock topped up.
  
  
• Laundry: if you need to put a wash on, you can use the laundry facilities.
  
  
• Kitchen: you can make tea or food if needed.
  
  
• Hangout rooms: a space to meet friends at the Hub (as long as they are Peterborough City Council Care Leavers).
  
  
• Quiet rooms: private rooms available for you to meet with your Personal Advisor.

• Religious items: Bibles, prayer mats and Qur’ans are available to collect free of charge.
  
  
• Care Leaver backpacks: when you first move into the Leaving Care Team, you can collect a Care Leaver backpack free of charge. It includes a copy of this Local Offer (you can request a translation if English is not your first language), information about upcoming Hub events, and a few essential items to support you during this transition.
  
  
• Free phone cases: phone cases may be available to collect (subject to availability and phone model).

To collect items or use the facilities, please speak to the team at the Hub. If you take items from the wardrobe, please sign them out so we can replenish stock.
