Careers at Peterborough City Council
At Peterborough City Council, where possible, we ring-fence apprenticeships to give Care Leavers priority access. For our recruitment, Care Leavers will be guaranteed an interview if they meet all the essential criteria in the person specification. They can also get support with applications and interviews.

Employment tools and support Care Leavers can access with a Virtual School EET Advisor:
- You can access the Xello platform (free) to explore career options and build your portfolio
- Identify your skills, interests, strengths and learning style
- Build a personal portfolio to showcase you
- Explore jobs suited to you (pathways, onward steps, and potential earnings)
