Childcare Survey 2026

We want every family to access the childcare they need - from nurseries and childminders to breakfast, after-school and holiday clubs.

If you have a child aged 0–14 years (or up to 18 if they have a Special Educational Need or Disability), and currently use or would like to use childcare, please take a few minutes to complete our survey below.

Please tell us what’s working, what’s not, and whether childcare is available in the right place at the right time.

Your feedback will help improve services for families.

Please complete the survey by 31 July 2026 and you could win a £50 high street voucher. Terms and conditions can be found further down this page.

Market position statement

Under the Childcare Act 2026, we have a statutory duty to ensure there is enough childcare available in Peterborough.

We assess the demand for childcare services in the city every year and compare this to the supply of services available. This helps us to understand how well the needs of children and families are being met and where additional services are required.

Our Market Position Statement identifies where Peterborough requires growth in its childcare market. You can also find further information in Peterborough's Education Organisation Plan.
