Notify us of a change in your circumstances affecting your eligibility for a discount or exemption
Claiming a discount or exemption when you know you are not entitled is fraud. You can be prosecuted for this.
If your circumstances change at any point, and you're no longer entitled to a discount or exemption, you must tell us by emailing local.taxation@peterborough.gov.uk.
Changing the name on your council tax bill or account
You need to let us know if you change your name so we can update your council tax account and bills.
Email local.taxation@peterborough.gov.uk to let us know. When you contact us, please provide:
- Your council tax account reference number
- Your previous name
- Your new name
- Proof of the name change - e.g. marriage certificate or deed poll
