The Warm Homes Local Grant is a Government-funded scheme with the aim of:

  • Improving the energy efficiency of your home
  • Reducing your household energy bills
  • Keeping residents warmer and more comfortable during the colder months

The grant, worth up to £15,000, covers the following home energy improvements:

  • Loft and cavity wall insulation
  • Solar panels
  • Air source heat pumps
  • High heat retention storage heaters
  • Double or triple glazing
  • Energy efficient doors

This scheme runs until the end of March 2028.

Who is delivering the scheme locally

In partnership with Peterborough City Council and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, the scheme is being delivered by:

  • 0800 Repair - the primary installer for the PE1 postcode area
  • Aran Insulation Ltd - the primary installer for all other postcode areas within the boundary of Peterborough City Council

We are operating as part of a consortium within the Cambridgeshire Energy Retrofit Partnership (CERP) to provide residents with access to the Warm Homes Local Grant funding. Cambridge City Council is acting the consortium lead.

Aran Insulation Ltd and 0800 Repair are two of the installers on the CERP Framework, which allows them to install measures such as cavity wall insulation in accordance with PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 to eligible applicants under the Warm Homes Local Grant.

With our approval, Aran Insulation Ltd and 0800 Repair have sent letters to some residents whose address falls within an area that may meet the eligibility criteria. You don't have to have received a letter to enquire or apply.

You can also visit the Action on Energy Cambridgeshire website for more information on the Warm Homes Local Grant and other information to help you make your home more energy efficient.
