Residents of Peterborough are being asked for their views on one of the city’s biggest challenges – homelessness and rough sleeping.
Peterborough City Council is required to write a new Homelessness and Rough Sleeper Strategy to help address these issues every five years.
This helps to outline how the council and its partners across the city will help people facing homelessness or sleeping rough.
As the 2021-2026 Strategy draws to a close, we’re starting the process of engaging with people across the city to help shape our next strategy.
Please take some time to complete this short form to tell us about your hopes for the next strategy, as well as any experiences of homelessness services, and how you think these should look over the next five years (2027-2032).
Cabinet Member for Housing and Regulatory Services Cllr Christian Hogg thanked the many partners who work alongside Peterborough City Council’s outreach officers to aid rough sleepers.
He said: “Our officers and our partners carry out a tremendous amount of work in helping our rough sleepers across the city.
"However we are always willing to listen to new opinions and ideas on how we can help further. This is a short but important form, and your feedback will help to directly influence where we target resources and how we approach these challenges.”
The current 2021-2026 strategy is available to read on the Peterborough City Council website
The form will be open until 5pm on 27 February to allow the council time to collate your responses ahead of writing the new strategy.
