Peterborough Family Hubs are encouraging local families to come together and celebrate father figures with a special community event packed with activities for all ages.
Taking place on Saturday 20 June, from 10:00am to 12:30pm at Westraven Community Garden, the Dads’ Brunch is designed to bring families together for a fun and engaging morning outdoors.
Attendees will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of hands-on activities, including den-building and crafts, creating a relaxed and welcoming environment for families to connect and spend quality time together. A complimentary breakfast butty will also be available for visitors to enjoy during the event.
The event is open to all families, with spaces offered on a first come, first served basis – no booking required.
Peterborough Family Hubs will also be launching The Dad Pledge at the event – a charter created by local fathers to demonstrate what they would like to see from organisations working with families. This work is in response to a report by CPSL Mind commissioned by Peterborough Family Hubs focusing on how to increase engagement and inclusion of dads and father figures.
For more information about this event and other activities, residents are encouraged to follow Peterborough City Council’s social media channels.
