Creating safe, welcoming spaces can make all the difference. The six-week badminton programme at Jack Hunt School supported ethnically diverse women to become more active through fun, flexible sessions and a strong sense of community.

Participants shared that the sessions helped them exercise, connect socially, and feel comfortable being active.

  • Advertised on a local women's network online
  • Targeted ethnically diverse women who are categorised as the least active
  • The aim was to create a safe space for women
