From 27 November 2025, we are replacing our previous taxi licensing drop-in service with a new appointment-only service.
We are making this change to:
- Provide a more efficient and streamlined service
- Reduce waiting times and avoid inconvenience for drivers
- Help us manage the service better, ensuring you receive the support you need without unnecessary delays
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we make this improvement. Thank you for working with us to make the taxi licensing process smoother for everyone.
How the appointment service works
Appointments take place:
- On Thursdays, 9.30am to 12.30pm
- At Sand Martin House, Bittern Way, Fletton Quays, Peterborough, PE2 8TY
During your appointment, you can receive assistance with your licensing application.
Please note you will be turned away if you do not have an appointment.

Once you have booked, you will receive a confirmation email with details of your appointment.
Badge and plate collections
Badge and plate collections do not require an appointment. Instead, you can collect these between 10am and 12pm every Friday (excluding bank holidays) once you have received notification from us. Please do not book an appointment for this.
Cancel a taxi licensing appointment
If you can no longer attend your taxi licensing appointment, please let us know by cancelling it through the online booking system above. Cancelling it will make the slot available for someone else to use.
