Market position statement
Under the Childcare Act 2026, we have a statutory duty to ensure there is enough childcare available in Peterborough.
We assess the demand for childcare services in the city every year and compare this to the supply of services available. This helps us to understand how well the needs of children and families are being met and where additional services are required.
Our Market Position Statement identifies where Peterborough requires growth in its childcare market. You can also find further information in Peterborough's Education Organisation Plan.
