Support with buying a mobile phone
We can help with the cost of buying a mobile phone for all Care Leavers aged 17 to 25.
How it works:
- Your PA will do a short needs check with you (a quick conversation about your situation and what you can afford) to make sure this support is the right option for you. A Team Manager then approves it.
- Your Personal Advisor will support you to apply.
- Already bought a phone?
You can be reimbursed up to £60 if:- You provide a receipt
- Your PA has completed the short needs check with you before you buy the phone (so we can agree what support is available).
- This isn’t a test - it’s just to help us understand your situation and make sure support is fair and used in the right way.

Free mobile phone case
Thanks to our IT Team, we can offer phone cases for Care Leavers. These are available to collect from the Care Leavers Hub. Contact the Care Leaver Local Offer Lead by email at Elle.Johnson@peterborough.gov.uk to request this.
Please note there may be a waiting list and availability depends on the model of your phone.
