Health data and local insight sits at the heart of what we do. Our Public health Intelligence analysts interpret complex datasets to identify health trends and inequalities, and monitor emerging risks. They provide the data and insights to assess, measure and describe the health and wellbeing of Peterborough’s population.
This intelligence informs our evidence-based policies, strategic planning and service delivery or commissioning. This then allows us to review our priorities, decide what we need to do next, and continually evaluate the effectiveness of what we’ve done.
We assist in creating reports and dashboards including:
- Joint Strategic Needs Assessments (JSNAs)
- Pharmaceutical Needs Assessments
- Joint Health and Wellbeing Integrated Care Strategy
- Director of Public Health reports
- Thematic needs assessments
- Developing interactive dashboards and topic-specific profiles, such as Healthy Life Expectancy.
Access to the data we use and publish
Most of our data and reports are available on Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Insight and Peterborough Local Insight to browse alongside many other council data sets.
