At Peterborough Register Office, we provide a professional registration service for life's important events, such as births, deaths, marriages, civil partnerships and citizenship ceremonies. We also conduct celebratory services such as baby naming ceremonies and renewal of vows.

Our Customer Services Helpdesk answers all our incoming telephone calls. They can take certificate orders, book appointments and respond to enquiries. For complex matters, we operate a call back service within 14 working days.

If you wish to register a birth or death, you will need to make an appointment.
If you have ordered a certificate to be collected from the office, we will notify you when it is ready.

- Ceremony rooms located on the ground floor
- Hearing loop in the Lawns ceremony room
We use rooms on the ground floor and first floor of the building to conduct registration and notice appointments. The first floor is only accessible by stairs. If you have access requirements, please let us know in advance so we can make sure your appointment takes place in a ground floor room.
Parking
Free limited car parking is available at the Register Office. Please ensure you allow plenty of time before your appointment as alternative off-site parking may have to be found if all of our allocated parking bays are full.
We have one disabled parking bay.

Public transport
The Register Office is within a 10 to 15 minute walk from Queensgate Shopping Centre.
Several bus routes serve Thorpe Road. The main ones include Stagecoach routes 2 and 27, as well as the 904 route operated by Dews Coaches on behalf of Stagecoach.
The nearest bus stop on Thorpe Road to the Register Office is Kirkwood Close.
Running late or cancellations
If you are running more than five minutes late, you will need to re-book your appointment.
