In 2015, a £120 million redevelopment of Fletton Quays received planning permission. The site overlooks the River Nene near the Embankment.
The area is home to 350 luxury apartments, a multi-storey car park, café, Government Hub and one of the council’s offices at Sand Martin House.
We are working to complete the last phase of Fletton Quays regeneration, including:
- The Hilton Hotel - the Fletton Quays high-end hotel development which will become a Hilton or similar standard hotel
- The Goods Shed - a former single-storey Victorian railway siding building, with proposals for it to become a food and beverage hall
- Cygnet Bridge - work is set to start soon on a new footbridge connecting Fletton Quays to the Embankment (using £2m allocation from the Government's Towns Fund)
Plans by a private developer to convert a former flour mill into commercial buildings and flats were also approved and are progressing well.
