Pride in Place neighbourhood - Paston, Gunthorpe and Welland
Pride in Place is a Government funded programme. It is aimed at putting power into the hands of local people in some of the most in-need neighbourhoods across the UK, so that they can decide how to regenerate their local area. Paston, Gunthorpe and Welland together are to receive £2m every year for the next 10 years to spend on projects that will make a difference to the area.
About the area
Paston, Gunthorpe and Welland are established communities with strong local identity and a shared ambition for the future. As a Pride in Place neighbourhood, the area will benefit from long-term, community-led investment aimed at tackling inequalities, strengthening local assets, and building pride in place.
Through the Pride in Place Programme, residents, local organisations and partners will work together to shape priorities and deliver improvements that reflect what matters most locally. This includes investment in community spaces, infrastructure, opportunities for young people, and initiatives that strengthen local pride and identity.

Through our Listening Exercises, we will give you the opportunity to share what matters most to you about your neighbourhood. We want to hear what you think works well, what needs to change, and what would make your neighbourhood a better place to live.
We would like to hear from as many residents as possible to ensure a wide range of voices are heard, and to build a clear picture of local priorities and experiences.

Paston, Gunthorpe and Welland Neighbourhood Board
Neighbourhood Boards were established through an open and inclusive recruitment process, led locally in line with national guidance. Applications were invited from residents, community groups, businesses and stakeholders, with individuals selected based on their experience, insight and commitment to improving the neighbourhood.
The Neighbourhood Board is representative, balanced and community-focused, bringing together a diverse mix of voices to shape local priorities. The Board engages with residents and partners to set local priorities aligned to Pride in Place.

We expect to announce the Board Members in mid-July.
