We provide a professional registration service for life's important events such as births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships as well as a nationality checking service for those of you applying for British citizenship and celebratory services such as naming ceremonies, renewal of marriage vows and citizenship ceremonies.

List your business in the Peterborough Ceremonies Guide 2016

As a wedding supplier, we have a great opportunity for you to showcase your business to all prospective couples who enquire about a civil ceremony.

The Register Office is the first port of call for many prospective couples.  Last year we had 900 enquiries to our Register Office and 9,000 views on our civil ceremonies webpage. As well as sending out printed brochures, next year we will also make it available electronically, giving us a greater opportunity to reach thousands more people.

The 2016 Peterborough Ceremonies Guide is being redesigned into a more prestigious 32-page A4 publication. It will include more advice and information for all local couples, including a step-by-step guide on what will happen on their big day; ceremony planning checklist; readings, music and traditions; and legal requirements.

Within the brochure will be an ‘Address Book’ directory showcasing local wedding suppliers – from photographers to videographers; bridalwear to hair and makeup; caterers to cakemakers; florists to entertainers; wedding transport to reception venues – all suppliers are welcome.

In 2014/15 at the register office there were:

  • 57 compliments – thank you!
  • 5 complaints – only one upheld
  • 284 customer service cards completed for birth and death registrations and Nationality Checking Service appointments.
